Cookie Policy

Last updated 26 October 2026Effective 26 October 2026Applies to nurrielmamaril.xyz

01The short version

This website sets no cookies. There is no advertising, no tracking pixel, no cross-site profiling and no consent banner, because none is needed.

Measurement is limited to aggregated, cookieless analytics that cannot identify you.

The rest of this page explains that in full, and tells you how to control cookies in your browser should you want to.

02What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, which is then sent back on later visits. Related technologies — local storage, session storage, pixels, web beacons and device fingerprinting — achieve similar things by different means. In this policy “cookies” covers all of them.

Cookies are commonly described as:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to function, for example to keep you logged in or to remember items in a basket.
  • Functional — remember preferences such as language or theme.
  • Analytics — measure how a site is used.
  • Advertising — build profiles to target advertising, usually across multiple sites.

Under the UK and EU ePrivacy rules, only strictly necessary cookies may be set without your consent. Everything else requires consent collected before the cookie is set — which is why most sites show a banner.

03What this site uses

CategoryUsed here?Detail
Strictly necessaryNoneThe site is static and has no accounts, basket or session to maintain.
FunctionalNoneNo preferences are stored in your browser.
AnalyticsNo cookiesAggregated measurement only, performed without storing anything on your device. See section 4.
AdvertisingNoneNo ad networks, no retargeting, no social pixels, no data sold or shared for advertising.

Because no cookies are set and no non-essential information is stored on or read from your device, no consent banner is shown. Should that ever change, a banner will appear and your choice will be requested before anything is set.

04How analytics works here

I want to know which pages are worth keeping. That does not require knowing who you are.

The analytics used on this site records a page view together with coarse, non-identifying context: approximate country, referring site, device type and browser. It does not set a cookie, does not store an identifier on your device, does not follow you to other websites, and does not attempt to recognise you across visits.

The result is a count of visits per page rather than a record of individuals. I cannot use it to work out that a particular person visited, and neither can I link it to any email you later send me.

05Pages that are not mine

Some links take you to services operated by other organisations — for example the scheduling page used to book a discovery call, my LinkedIn profile, and project demos hosted on their own subdomains.

Those services set their own cookies and are governed by their own policies. This policy stops at the edge of my site. When you follow such a link, please review the cookie and privacy notices of the service you arrive at.

06Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies for any site through your browser. Because this site sets none, doing so will not affect how it works for you.

  • Chrome — Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies
  • Safari — Settings › Privacy
  • Firefox — Settings › Privacy & Security
  • Edge — Settings › Cookies and site permissions

Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal. As no tracking takes place here, these signals make no difference to what this site does, but they are honoured by default in the sense that nothing is tracked either way.

07Changes to this policy

If I ever add a tool that sets cookies, I will update this page before it goes live, add a consent banner, and record your choice. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
